Wide receiver LaQuan Williams rejoined the Baltimore Ravens Friday.

The 25-year old Williams, who grew up in Baltimore and played collegiately at the University of Maryland, originally signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He spent two seasons with Baltimore, contributing primarily on special teams.

However, he was released in September.

He signed with the New England Patriots, but he was cut in November without ever playing in a game for the Patriots.

The Ravens will likely give him a chance to compete for a roster spot during the spring and summer, but he will have a tough time making Baltimore's roster.

The Ravens already have four wide receivers who are likely locks to make the team - Torrey Smith, Steve Smith, Jacoby Jones and Marlon Brown. They also have Deonte Thompson, who was active for seven games last season, as well as 2013 seventh-round pick Aaron Mellette.

Baltimore may also add a wide receiver or two during the NFL draft, possibly even at some point during the first few rounds.
