Ravens: Bryant McKinnie, Haloti Ngata not practicing

OWINGS MILLS -- Baltimore Ravens starting left offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie isn't practicing today during the first day of training camp after an offseason where he dealt with conditioning issues.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh later said that McKinnie is dealing with an undisclosed issue.

Pro Bowl defensive tackle Haloti Ngata didn't practice after tweaking his hamstring during the conditioning test.

McKinnie was supposed to get down to a target weight of 345 pounds in order to be allowed to practice after being held out of a mandatory minicamp due to not being in ideal shape.

McKinnie told the Times recently he was down to 350 pounds.

He was cut by the Minnesota Vikings last season when he ballooned up to 387 pounds during the NFL lockout.
