Phillip William Ey, 60, of Hampstead, died Monday, March 31, 2014, at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Born Nov. 3, 1953, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Elmer and Katherine Beck Ey. He was the husband of Deborah Ey.
He worked as an operations manager for Calvert Wholesale Florist from 1989 to 2011; and since 2013, he has worked as a field investigator for General Information Services. He had deep interest in his pet cats and in the restoration of Chesapeake Bay oyster beds.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are siblings Jerry Ey and wife Joyce, Peggy Kraft and husband Karl, Robin Ey, Jeffrey Ey and wife Betty, and Donna Ey; brothers-in-law Joe Hepner and wife Pamela, and David Hepner and wife Carol; sisters-in-law Laurie Belles, Dee-Dee Ickes and Carol Hepner; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will gather to remember him at 11 a.m. Sunday at Zion United Church of Christ, 7146 Golden Ring Road, Essex.
