Israel Bonds of Maryland

hosted its annual chairman's report and gave recognition to many generous contributors.

Barbara Goldberg, general chair of Israel Bonds, updated everyone of the statutes of this organization meeting its goal and expressed her appreciation to everyone.

She commented, "it was Ben Gurion 61 years ago, that came up with the idea to sell Israel Bonds to support the infrastructure of Israel."

A great investment, Israel has "never" defaulted on payments to bond purchasers!

Very popular is the "Mazel Tov" bond, a five year $100 minimum purchase of $100 and/or with increments of $50. Great for Bat/Bar Mitzvah gifts, new baby, child or grandchild birthdays, wedding anniversary or any special simcha. This is a great gift idea!

Additional bond purchases include State of Israel Bonds, Floating Rate LIBOR Bonds, Macabee Bonds and Jubilee Issue Bonds.

Purchase of bonds supports every aspect of Israel's economy!

Personable Eli Groner was guest speaker. Eli is Israel's Minister for Economic Affairs to the United States, based in Washington, D.C. Eli commented there are four pillars how Israel has survived.

Investments of its infra-structure.

Fiscal discipline, never defaulting on bond payments. It's discipline is not to spend more than Israel can afford to spend.

Listening to their people. Israel is attentive to what it's people have to say.

Innovation. It is everywhere in society and all its industries.
