Arts Center seeks young actors for Disney's Aladdin Jr.

The Carroll County Arts Council, in partnership with the Maryland Ensemble Theatre, will be presenting a fully staged musical in November. They invite young actors, singers and dancers in grades 6-8 to audition for the show on Friday, Sept. 6 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. or Saturday, Sept. 7 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Julie Herber of Maryland Ensemble Theatre will direct the production. Tabetha White will serve as Assistant Director and Production Manager. In addition, a limited number of volunteer internships are available for high school aged students who want to assist with the production. Internship applications are available on our website.

Actors may choose either day to audition. Registration forms will be available on the Arts Council's website or at the Arts Center. All actors should be prepared to sing 16 bars of a song of their choice, without accompaniment. Actors should come wearing clothing appropriate for dance and stage movement (no skirts or flip flops). Alternate audition times can be scheduled if needed.

Rehearsals will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Sept. 17. Tuition for this in-depth theatre experience is $150 for Arts Council Members or $165 for non-members.
