The Minnesota Vikings appear to be going with Matt Cassel at quarterback for Sunday's game against the Ravens.
Cassel was told by coach Leslie Frazier Wednesday morning that he will start Sunday, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
Christian Ponder has started the last six games at quarterback for Minnesota, but he suffered a concussion last week.
Cassel has been primarily a backup for Minnesota after being released by the Kansas City Chiefs in March, but he did play decent in leading the Vikings to a win over the Chicago Bears after taking over for Ponder last week.
He was 20 of 33 for 243 yards. He had an interception but also threw a touchdown.
