The Mount St. Mary's women's golf team will be featured on the Golf Channel's television show, The Golf Fix. The show is hosted by Michael Breed. Breed is a top 50 golf instructor who answers questions about golf every Monday night at 7 p.m.
The women's team is led by Senior Sarah Roe, who has won the Gettysburg Invitational earlier this year. Roe posted a round of 79 to win the one day event, beating out teammate Nicole Fazio who posted a round of 85.
The women's team is picked to finish eighth in the conference by the NEC coaches. Sacred Heart took eight first place votes to be picked as the favorite, with four-time defending champion Farleigh Dickinson grabbed the remaining votes to finish second. Saint Francis (Pa.), LIU Brooklyn, Robert Morris, Wagner, Monmouth, the Mount, CCSU, St. Francis NY, and Quinnipiac rounded out the 11-team poll.
The women's team opens their spring slate on Tuesday when they participate in the Gary Freeman BCU Tournament. First round is on Tuesday, second round is on Wednesday.
