Story Pals-Dance: 10 a.m. For ages 2-3. A theme-based story time featuring interactive and age-appropriate stories, songs, fingerplays and activities. With an accompanying adult caregiver.
Read and Play: 11 a.m. For ages birth-24 months. A story time featuring lap games, tickles, bounces, and rhymes followed by a playgroup for meeting and mingling. With an accompanying adult caregiver.
Evening Story Time-Dance: 7 p.m. For all ages. End your day in a special way. This story time, open to all ages, introduces stories through books, songs and activities. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

The Kidney Sellers: 11 a.m. For adults. Join Dr. Sigrid Fry-Revere as she discusses her book The Kidney Sellers: A Journey of Discovery in Iran. Hear about the medical ethics of the Iranian organ donation system, and the culture of the country the author lived in as she researched her book. This promises to be a fascinating look at a rarely discussed topic.

What Tree Is That?: 6 p.m. For all ages. Celebrate Earth Day by exploring tree life around the Finksburg Branch Library. Steve Allgeier, Horticulture Consultant for the University of Maryland Extension, Carroll County will lead the walk and talk. This traveling discussion will focus on the trees found near the library. Steve will discuss the desirable attributes and potential liabilities of the trees. The talk will also address general care and pruning. The program will end with a tree planting on the library grounds to help celebrate Earth Day. All attendees need to register. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Lucy Rescued Story Time: 1 p.m. For ages 5-12. Register for this event today. How much is that doggie in the window? That is the question Lucy heard while she was living at the shelter. Did she find her furever home? Come to a special story time to find out about Lucy's journey. At the end of the story time stay to meet a real rescued dog named Ginny - a special dog rescued by Caring Hearts and adopted to a furever home. Come meet Ginny and her adopted family. Only kids need to register.
Alphabet Train-Letter S: 11 a.m. For ages 3-6. Climb aboard each week to explore a different letter of the alphabet through books, songs and activities. All adult caregivers are welcome.
