Helene Novotny, 92, of Westminster, died Palm Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Carroll Lutheran Village Health Care Center.
Born May 15, 1921, in Altensteig, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Ernst and Anna Marie Pfeifle Roh. She was the wife of Frank Joseph Novotny Sr., her husband of 42 years, who died in 1992.
She was a member of St. Luke's (Winters) Lutheran Church in New Windsor and was active in the church R&R group.
Surviving are son Frank J. Novotny Jr. and wife Deborah, of Westminster; daughter Anne Crouch and husband Roger, of Washington, D.C.; grandchildren Kristin DeVincent and husband Edward, Timothy Novotny and wife Stacy, and Kimberly Collins and husband Chris; great-grandchildren Jordan and Hannah DeVincent, and Braedyn Novotny; and a brother, John Roh, of Virginia.
She was predeceased by a sister, Erna Moore.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke's (Winters) Lutheran Church, 701 Green Valley Road, New Windsor, with her pastor, the Rev. Anne C. Durboraw, officiating. Interment will follow in Loudon Park Cemetery in Baltimore.
