Handel's 'Messiah' to be performed at Hood College

The Hood College Choir will perform Handel's "Messiah" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Nov. 24 at Hood's Coffman Chapel in Frederick.
The Choral Arts Society of Frederick will join with the student choir for the 66th annual performance. Both choirs trained under Lynn Staininger, director of choral activities at Hood.
"Messiah" will feature four soloists: Marie L. Loy, soprano; Elizabeth Merrill, mezzo soprano; Peter Drackley, tenor; and Christian Waugh, bass.
Doors open one hour before each performance. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors age 62 and older and are available online at http://www.hood.edu/messiah or by calling 301-696-3130.
