Police seeking assistance in Eldersburg armed robbery

Police are seeking information regarding an armed robbery near the Panera Bread in Eldersburg that occurred earlier this month.

The Carroll County Sheriff's Office released a sketch of the suspect Thursday.

According to police, the male suspect approached two women in the parking lot of 6300 Georgetown Boulevard, displayed a handgun and demanded valuables from them, then fled toward Lee Avenue where he is believed to have entered a vehicle and left the area. The man was seen in the Panera Bread restaurant shortly before the robbery, according to a sheriff's office news release.

Police are also seeking information about a female who was accompanying the suspect earlier in the evening inside the restaurant as a person of interest.

"Due to the proximity to the crime, detectives are interested in speaking to her as well," said Cpl. Jon Light of the sheriff's office.

Anyone with information about this incident or the identities of the suspects is asked to contact Detective Simmons at 410-386-2569 or 410-386-2900, or the Anonymous TIPS Hotline at 1-888-399-TIPP.
