Edward Richard Wolfe, 76, of Taneytown, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Shepherd's Glen Assisted Living in Taneytown.
Born Nov. 18, 1937, in Bruceville, he was the son of the late Grover and Ruth Airing Wolfe.
He worked 18 years at the Black & Decker Company in Hampstead, then spent nearly 20 years with Carroll County Public Schools as a custodian. He enjoyed bowling, archery and shooting pool. He attended the Evangelical Holiness Church in Gettysburg, Pa. He was a member of the Harney VFW Post 6918 and the Hesson Snider American Legion Post 120 in Taneytown.
Surviving are sons Troy and Keith Wolfe, of Taneytown; a brother, Donald Wolfe, of Taneytown; sister Linda Skiles and husband John, of Gettysburg, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Loretta Airing; and brothers Dean and Alvin Wolfe.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown.
A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Harold Wantz officiating. Burial will follow at Keysville Union Cemetery.
