Tuesday
Evening Story Time: 7 p.m. All ages. This story time introduces stories through books, songs, and activities. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
Read and Play: 11 a.m. Ages birth-24 months. A story time featuring lap games, tickles, bounces, and rhymes followed by a playgroup for meeting and mingling. Siblings welcome. With an accompanying caregiver.
Story Pals: 10 a.m. Ages 2-3. A theme-based story time featuring interactive and age-appropriate stories, songs, finger plays and activities. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
Wednesday
Pounding Flowers: 7 p.m. Adults. If you can hammer a nail, you can be an artist. You will make lasting, and beautiful, botanical impressions using a hammer, plant materials, and watercolor paper. Bring your hammer-we will provide everything else. Registration for this program began 6/13/2012.

39 Clues (More or Less) Scavenger Hunt: 3 p.m. Ages 11-17. Use your detective skills to find the treasure as we embark on a scavenger hunt inside and outside the library.
Movies Made EZ: 7 p.m. Ages 11-Adults. Do you have a passion for movies? Would you like to make movies? Want to create a submission for the Summer Shorts contest? Join filmmaker Paul Oakes as he takes you through the journey of making a movie, from the first storyboard to the final cut.
Songs at 6:30 Concert Series: All ages. Join us for this free evening concert series featuring local and regional musicians. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy some terrific music. Sponsored by The City of Westminster, Downtown Westminster Main Street Program, and Coffey Music. Rain location: lower level of Longwell Parking Garage. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Night Shift - Animals at Night: 2 p.m. Ages 6-12. When the sun sets, the "night shift" animals come on duty. Learn about the special senses that allow these animals to navigate in the dark. The Maryland Zoomobile staff will test your nocturnal sensory skills while you get to meet zoo creatures of the night when they visit the library. This program is sponsored by Celebree Learning Centers. Registration for this program began 6/15/2012.

Titanic authority David Coe will present fascinating information about the Titanic and explore the truth behind the historic event that happened 100 years ago. Plus get a glimpse of what life was like on the maiden voyage of the largest moving object yet built. Set sail for the Finksburg Branch for this amazing program. Feel free to dress up as if you were traveling on the Titanic.

The Magic of Roger Lindsay: 9:45 and 11 a.m. Ages 4-Adults. Summer Reading ambassador Roger Lindsay transports kids 4 to 104 to a realm of magical happenings, illusions, and laughter. Join Prop the Magic Bunny as he and Mr. Lindsay amaze and amuse in this show loaded with audience participation. You never know what surprises await you. Registration required for both children and adults planning to attend with children. Registration for this program began 6/15/2012.
Saturday
Meet Author Lois Szymanski and a REAL Chincoteague Pony: 10:30 a.m. Ages 7-Adults. Author, Lois Szymanski has written numerous books about the Chincoteague Ponies. Join her as she shares some stories about the ponies and how they survive today. Her talk will include information about the foals that inspired the main character in her new book, Wild Colt. After the talk, visitors will be able to meet a real Chincoteague Pony and ask questions of the pony's owner. Registration for this program began 6/16/2012.
Monday
Morning Matinee: 10:30 a.m. Ages 3-Adults. Ready, Set, Action. The Finksburg Branch will be showing some family favorite films this summer. Stop by, watch the movie, have some popcorn, and then check out a few books about your favorite characters. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Refreshments will be served.
Sidewalk Chalk Spectacular: 10 a.m. All ages. Add your own creative touch to the Finksburg Branch. Join us Mondays this summer to give our walkways some flair and fun. Program is weather permitting. Guidelines and chalk available at the Information Desk. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
