of Finksburg attained the rank of Eagle Scout at an Eagle Court of Honor Jan. 3 at Gamber Fire Hall. For his leadership project, he installed 25 navigational signs around the Liberty Reservoir. The project included planning sign placement as well as sign content, fundraising, seeking donations including excess sign material from the State Highway Administration and installing the signs on the reservoir.

of Owings Mills, a student at Western School of Technology & Science has been nominated to represent Maryland as a National Youth Correspondent to the 2013 Washington Journalism and Media Conference at George Mason University. King will join a group of 250 students from across the country to participate in a week-long study of journalism and media.
