DC gala for lung cancer is next weekend

LUNGevity Foundation will present the Face of Hope Award to Rep. John D. Dingell at the nonprofit's third annual Musical Celebration of Hope Gala Saturday at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. The Dow Chemical Company will also received the Hope Award for Corporate Leadership.
WUSA9 News Anchor Andrea Roane will emcee the event. Senators Roy Blunt, John McCain and Edward Markey and Representatives Lois Capps, Diana DeGette, Paul Ryan and Frank Wolf will chair the Honorary Congressional Committee.
The Gala will benefit LUNGevity Foundation and celebrates the progress in lung cancer research. With an Arabian Nights theme, guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner, dancing and performances by local artists.
