The annual Penguin Random House Book Fair will be held March 7, 2014, and March 8, 2014, at Carroll Community College.
Carroll County students in grades one through 12 are eligible to enter a previously unpublished short story and/or poem in the Student Writing Contest, an annual Book Fair tradition. The company will donate 100 books to the school with the most Student Writing Contest entries.
Each entry may have only one author and one entry per author may be submitted for each category. Entries must be the students own work. The deadline for entries is Nov. 25.
First, second and third place winners will be selected for each category (short story or poetry). Finalists will be notified in January 2014 and the winning selections will be published by Penguin Random House in a booklet to be distributed at the Book Fair.
