Veterans invited to share their stories with Carroll County History Project

The Carroll County History Project has partnered with the North Carroll Public Library to collect and record oral history interviews with local veterans.

A special Veterans Oral History Collection Day will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 9 at the North Carroll Public Library, located at 2255 Hanover Pike, Greenmount.

The purpose is to recognize the vast contributions Carroll County veterans have made to our nation by collecting and preserving their stories of service, according to a Community Media Center news release. The Veterans Oral History Collection Day is an opportunity for our local veterans to share their personal accounts of military service with the rest of the community, according to the news release.

Interviews collected will be featured on Channel 19 during the month of November and will become a part of the Carroll County History Projects permanent video archive on its website
