The Ravens activated tight end Dennis Pitta from injured reserve Saturday.
Pitta's workload will likely be limited against the Minnesota Vikings, but getting him back should do nothing but help a Baltimore offense and passing game that has struggled this season.
Pitta had been on injured reserve with a designation to return while working back from the dislocated and fractured hip he suffered during training camp in late July, but he has been practicing since Nov. 20 and received an increased workload during practice this week.
"I bumped my workload a little bit this week just to kind of test and see where it's at," Pitta said Friday. "And like I said, it felt good. I feel like I'm able to do what I need to do."
The Ravens released running back Bernard Scott to make room for Pitta on their 53-man roster.
