Students take free college courses

Baltimore County Public School juniors and seniors will now be able to take up to four Community College of Baltimore County courses tuition-free through the College 4 Free program.
In the program, CCBC will cover 50 percent of the costs of tuition while BCPS will cover the other 50 percent. The program will include the more than 400 BCPS students currently enrolled at CCBC this fall.
The program is open to students with cumulative unweighted GPAs of at least 2.50 and are certified as eligible by a school counselor or administrator.
Students will be required to pay for books, supplies and CCBC-required fees. Students eligible for free and reduced-price meals will not be required to pay the fees.
