No injuries in crash involving school bus

There were no apparent injuries in an accident involving a school bus that was shuttling Carroll County students home from the Maryland School for the Deaf in Frederick, according to Carroll County Public Schools spokeswoman Carey Gaddis.

The accident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. at the intersection of Ridge Road and Marston Road.

Three children were on the bus at the time, and all were sent to Carroll Hospital Center as a precautionary measure, Gaddis said.

Per protocol, an area supervisor from the county public schools' transportation department was sent to the scene, according to Gaddis.

Maryland State Police responded to the scene. The incident is under investigation, according to Gaddis.

The school bus driver is not at fault, according to a Maryland State Police communications operator. A vehicle went through a stop sign, hit another vehicle that spun out in front of the bus, which in turn hit that car.
