Baltimore Ravens free-agent safety Ed Reed is scheduled to visit with the Houston Texans today, according to multiple reports. It will be Reed's first visit since officially becoming an unrestricted free agent Tuesday.
Reed has also reportedly drawn interest from the San Francisco 49ers and Indianapolis Colts. He's reportedly expected to meet with the 49ers if he leaves Houston without a deal today.
But the Baltimore Sun reported Wednesday night that the Texans have already made "an extremely strong bid" in their attempt to entice Reed into signing with them, although it was also noted that the 49ers are very much in the mix for Reed's services as well, especially should a deal not be consummated quickly between Reed and Houston.
Reed, who will turn 35 in September, has spent the first 12 seasons of his career with the Ravens, but he said on NFL Network last week that, at that point, he hadn't had any conversations with Baltimore regarding his future since the end of the season.
