Library Schedule (March 28- April 3)

The North Carroll branch of the Carroll County Public Library, 2255 Hanover Pike, Greenmount, will offer the following programs this week. Registration is required only where noted. For more information, call 410-386-4480.

Wednesday

Evening Story Time: 6:45 p.m. All ages. This story time introduces stories through books, songs, and activities. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Thursday

Un-Extreme Couponing: 7 p.m. Adults. Have you watched TLC's Extreme Couponing and thought I wish I could $ave on my grocery bill, but who has 60 hours a week to spend couponing? We can help. Learn how to get more and spend less when you shop.

Friday

Read and Play: 10:30 a.m. Birth-24 months. A story time featuring lap games, tickles, bounces, and rhymes followed by a playgroup for meeting and mingling. With an accompanying adult caregiver.

Saturday

Survive the Hunger Games: 10:30 a.m. Ages 11-17. Let the games begin. Join us for an afternoon of survival activities and games inspired by the Hunger Games series. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Monday

Come Learn with Me: 10:30 a.m. Ages Birth-5. Please join us for a playgroup for children and their caretakers to learn and play together. This special program will feature a variety of play centers and will include time for reading, artwork, lots of play, and plenty of surprises, all while building skill development and school readiness! Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. In partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Westminster.

Drop-in Computer Basics: 2-4 p.m. Adults. Are you technology challenged about basic computers skills? Stop by for a little help with such things as email, attachments, searching the Internet, or applying for jobs online.

North Carroll Knitter's Night: 7 p.m. Adults. Knitters and crocheters are all welcome to join this monthly gathering to share tips, projects, patterns and books.

Prizes! Prizes! Prizes!: 1 p.m. Ages 7-Adults. Join us for fun, games, and prizes at a Diary of a Wimpy Kid event. You'll create your own "diary" just like Greg and talk about your favorite book or books. Refreshments will be served. This program is sponsored in part by a Community Arts Development grant from the Carroll County Arts Council and the Maryland State Arts Council.

Tuesday

Retrogaming: 2 p.m. Ages 11-17. Join us for some fun while playing on game systems of yesteryear. There will be a Super Nintendo, a Sega Genesis plus a Wii and an Xbox with classic games to challenge your skills.

Story Pals: 10 a.m. Ages 2-3. A theme-based story time featuring interactive and age-appropriate stories, songs, finger plays, and activities. With an accompanying adult caregiver.
