C. Virginia Garnett, 72, of Westminster

C. Virginia Garnett, 72, of Westminster, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville.

Born Sept. 10, 1940, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Elmer R. and Marie Hogan LaFleur.

She was a farmer and produce seller at local farmer's markets. She had also worked in circulation and was a research librarian for the Carroll County Public Library.

She enjoyed gardening and horticulture, watching Western and mystery movies, and was an avid reader. She was a Ravens and Orioles fan, and was in the Worthley Botany Class in Westminster.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law Guy J. and Laura Garnett, of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter Marie C. Garnett, of Silver Spring; and granddaughters Christina and Diana Garnett.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the National Wildlife Federation, 901 E. St., NW, Washington, D.C. 20004; or to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, 301 1st St., Williamsburg, VA 23185.
