Three Seahawks scored in double digits in a 71-60 victory over York College.

HOPKINS MEN'S BASKETBALL:

Host Gettysburg used a 12-3 run that turned a six-point deficit into a three-point lead and went on to defeat Johns Hopkins, 64-55.

SALISBURY MEN'S BASKETBALL:

The Sea Gulls saw their five-game winning streak snapped with a 67-62 loss to No. 10 Wesley College.

HOPKINS WOMEN'S BASKETBALL:

Sophomore Katie Clark had a career day, finishing with 21 points, nine rebounds and seven assists as Hopkins went on to secure a 61-55 victory over Gettysburg.

WASHINGTON COLLEGE MEN'S BASKETBALL:

Visiting Haverford shot 63.3 percent from the floor and held off a late rally by host Washington College en route to an 86-80 win in a Centennial Conference game.

UMBC MEN'S BASKETBALL:

Senior guard Quentin Jones' improbable tip-in with 2.4 seconds remaining broke a 69-all tie and gave the host Retrievers a 71-69 victory over defending league champion Albany in an America East contest at the RAC Arena.

Jones and freshman guard Rodney Elliott shared scoring honors with 16 points each.

MCDANIEL MEN'S BASKETBALL:

Dickinson converted 13 3-pointers en route to an 83-61 Centennial Conference victory over McDaniel.

Tim Stewart led the Green Terror (16-6, 11-4 CC) with 16 points.

SALISBURY WOMEN'S BASKETBALL:

The Sea Gulls celebrated its Play 4Kay night with a 64-58 Capital Athletic Conference victory over Wesley College.

GEORGE WASHINGTON WOMEN'S LACROSSE:

Fifteen different players tallied goals as George Washington lacrosse rolled to a 24-7 season-opening victory over crosstown foe Howard on Wednesday.

Rachel Mia (Severna Park) had three goals and an assist while senior Jordy Bathras (Severn) chipped in three goals.

LOYOLA MEN'S BASKETBALL:

Lafayette College hit four 3-pointers during an 18-5 run early in the second half, and the Leopards defeated visiting Loyola 61-44.

MCDANIEL WOMEN'S BASKETBALL:

McDaniel used an 11-2 run early in the second half to take control of the game and ultimately defeat Dickinson 67-55 in Centennial Conference action.
