Ravens: Pierce, Thompson injuries both considered minor

BALTIMORE - Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed after practice Sunday that the injuries suffered by running back Bernard Pierce and wide receiver Deonte Thompson during Thursday's preseason opener are both considered minor.
Pierce and Thompson have both missed practice each of the last two days, but Harbaugh said Pierce (bruised knee) could play Thursday night, when Baltimore faces the Atlanta Falcons in its second preseason game.
Harbaugh said Thompson (sprained foot) will miss the game against the Falcons but that Thompson is expected to be back for the Ravens' game against the Carolina Panthers next week.
