Wilbur L. "Bill" Moore, 81, of Hanover, Pa., died Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at home.
Born June 2, 1932, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Raymond L. and Charlotte Moore. He was the husband of Mary Dee Stoudt Moore, his wife of 64 years.
He was a manager for Kentucky Fried Chicken and retired after many years of service. Prior to this, he was employed in the food industry throughout his years of employment.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hanover. He volunteered as a blood donor for many years during his lifetime; he had an extremely rare blood type. He was always gracious and willing to help.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons William L. Moore, of Eldersburg, Jamie M. Moore, of Keedysville, and Christopher P. Moore, of Union Mills; daughters Chari Russell, of Westminster, and Holley E. Griffin, of Hanover; grandchildren Julie Harwood, Lindsay Dell, Emily and Eric Griffin, and Christopher, Nick, Alex and twins Cody and Caitlin Moore; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
Following cremation, friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of a memorial service, 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kenworthy Funeral Home, 269 Frederick St., Hanover. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Hospice Program of the VNA of Hanover and Spring Grove, 440 N. Madison St., Hanover, PA 17331.
