Sandra Trimble, 61, of Sykesville

Sandra Ellingson Trimble, 61, of Sykesville, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson.

Born May 10, 1952, in Wyoming, she was the daughter of the late Andrew C. Ellingson and Edna E. Hammond Ellingson.

She had been a lawyer with the World Bank. She received her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University and her Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University. She had been a professor at Georgetown University. She was an avid reader and enjoyed time at the beach. She had been a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Sykesville, and of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fulton.

Surviving are sons and daughter-in-law Samuel James and Melissa Marie Trimble, of Perry Hall, and Stephen Joseph Trimble, of Honolulu, H.I.; a brother and sister-in-law, Andrew C. Ellingson Jr. and Charlotte A. Ellingson, of Albuquerque, N.M.; and grandchildren Julia Rose, William James and Molly Elizabeth Trimble.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 11795 Scaggsville Road (Rte. 216), Fulton. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Eldersburg, MD 21784.
