Jewish War Veterans (JWV) Post 167:

Venue for its installation brunch was the interesting military themed VFW Post 521 Social Hall, 214 Tollgate Road, Owings Mills, Maryland.

Lt. Gen. H. Stephen Blum, was the very special and interesting guest speaker. Blum has served all ranks, an officer at all command levels.

Blum encouraged everyone at this well attended installation, to encourage their grandchildren to look into joining the military! The military is a great opportunity for their grandchildren to grow to their full potential. Many opportunities are available to them!

Lt. Gen. Blum, a member of the Jewish War Veterans group discussed his recent Jewish War Veterans trip to Israel, a tiny country, maybe the size of Baltimore County, surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea and North Lebanon that a few years ago fired 4,000 missiles attempting to kill whoever, whenever (men, women, children, babies) of the Jewish population. Syria, Jordan and Egypt are located nearby.

Israel is surrounded by hostile nations except Jordan that has a few Palestinian problems.

Israel is under attack every single day! Missiles any time of day, month, year, anywhere and everywhere! Frightening and horrible as it is, terrorists do not hesitate to strap a device on their young children, to specifically kill "Jews!"

Lt. Gen. Blum told of his visit to a kibbutz. A woman he was chatting with was receiving continuous calls forewarning her and the kibbutz about incoming missiles! Residents only have seconds to get to safety! A few years ago a bus with school children, after this woman's children were dropped off, the bus returning children to two other kibbutz's was a direct hit! All the school children returning home from school, were killed!

Another story Blum shared with the guests at this luncheon, was terrorists observing a "night spot" popular with the Jewish crowd, after several days of observing, the terrorists blew up the Jewish clientele and the night spot the Jewish young guys and gals frequented and enjoyed.

Lt. Gen. Blum cannot understand the mentality of terrorists willing to kill themselves, to kill Jews! Even their children are used to kill Jews in Israel!

Israel's economy is growing and holds values. Jewish guys and gals all spend two years in the military, then remain in Israel's "Reserves" and are forever available to use when necessary!

Russian influx has been significant to Israel plus a black influx.

Blum questions how Israel can continue to negotiate PEACE, while under continuous attacks. Terrorists only wanting destruction of the State of Israel, and yes, the whole world condemns Israel!
