Donna Marie Jackson, 57, of Westminster, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Carroll Hospital Center.
Born July 5, 1956, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Shirley L. Dorsey Myers and the late Douglas Deford Myers Sr. She was the wife of the late Julian Jackson.
She worked as a custodian for 10 years for Carroll County Public Schools and more recently for The Arc Carroll County as a direct care worker.
She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking, crafts and eating crabs and tomatoes. She was known to do anything for others even if it meant having to do without herself.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are daughter Brandy Davis and husband David, of Westminster; brothers and sisters-in-law David and wife Tammy Myers, of Baltimore County, Kenneth and wife Eyvette Myers, Douglas and wife Debra Myers, Gary and wife Sherrie Myers, and Kevin Myers, all of Westminster; sister Shelia and husband Dale Greene, of Westminster; grandchildren Christopher R., Allysah, Elliya and Alexis Davis; numerous nieces and nephews; and a great-niece.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service, 2:30 p.m. Friday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield. Interment will be in Fairview UMC Cemetery in Mount Airy.
