QB Tom Brady

- Everything the Patriots do starts with Brady. And despite the weapons around him being different, New England's offense still ranks among the best in the NFL because of Brady. He lost his top weapon, tight end Rob Gronkowski, to a season-ending knee injury two weeks ago. But he threw for 364 yards and two touchdowns against the Miami Dolphins last week even without Gronkowski.

WR Julian Edelman

- Edelman has become Brady's top target in the Patriots passing game. Wide receiver Wes Welker left as a free agent. Gronkowski is out for the year with the knee injury. And even with wide receiver Danny Amendola back, Edelman was targeted 19 times by Brady last week, a big number. Edelman has 89 catches, fifth-most in the NFL. He has seven catches or more each of the last four games.

DE Chandler Jones

- Jones has become one of the better pass rushers in the league. Like his brother, Arthur, has emerged for the Ravens, Chandler has emerged for the Patriots. New England took him in the first round of last year's NFL draft. He contributed as a rookie, and he finished with six sacks, but he already has 11.5 sacks this season, which is tied for fourth-most in the NFL. He is also fourth on New England with 73 tackles.
