The Carroll County Forestry Board is offering scholarships of $400 for two County high school students to attend the 2013 Natural Resources Careers Camp.
The camp will be held from July 21 to July 27 at Hickory Environmental Education Center in Garrett County. The camp is designed for Maryland high school students who are interested in pursuing a career in forestry, fisheries, wildlife, and other natural resources careers. The camp is sponsored by the Maryland Association of Forest Conservancy District Boards in partnership with the Allegany College of Maryland and the Maryland Forest Service.
To be eligible, students must be entering grades 9 through 12 this fall, submit and an online application, and provide two letters of recommendation. Once the application is completed, students will be contacted to schedule a personal interview with the Carroll County Forestry Board.
