Donald E. Timney, 74, of Westminster, died Friday, June 6, 2014, at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Born April 24, 1940, in Lonaconing, he was the son of William E. Timney and Rhetta Dodd Timney. He was the husband of the late Patricia Ann Hoban Timney.
He was a retired elementary school teacher, having taught in Carroll County Public Schools for more than 30 years. He was an all-around handyman, especially with plumbing. He enjoyed camping and the trumpet. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are daughters Tessa and husband Jesse Starr, and Wendy Baldwin, all of Westminster; and grandchildren Caden, Riley, Treten, Alliya Starr, Karleigh, Brady, Donovan and Riece Baldwin.
A gathering of friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
