Charles R. Aldridge, 87, of Westminster

Charles Robert Aldridge, 87, of Westminster, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.
Born Oct. 5, 1925, in Bloom, Carroll County, he was the son of the late Ensor Hansen and Mildred Elizabeth Grimes Aldridge. He was the husband of Ruth S. Aldridge.
He was a 1943 graduate of Westminster High School, and he then enlisted in the Air Corps, where he became a pilot and was discharged in 1945. He then became a carpenter and was a member of Carpenters Local No. 101 for 50 years.
He was a member of Sharon Lodge No. 182 AF&AM for more than 40 years. He was a member of the Tall Cedars, Boumi Temple and American Legion Post No. 31.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Timothy E. Aldridge, of Westminster; a daughter, Cynthia Richardson, of Westminster; a brother, Norman Aldridge, of Westminster; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Funeral services and interment will be private.
