Sean P. Baldwin of Finksburg attained the rank of Eagle Scout at an Eagle Court of Honor Jan. 3 at Gamber Fire Hall. For his leadership project, he installed 25 navigational signs around the Liberty Reservoir. The project included planning sign placement as well as sign content, fundraising, seeking donations including excess sign material from the State Highway Administration and installing the signs on the reservoir.

Notre Dame of Maryland University features 28 student athletes receiving recognition to the CSAC Fall All-Academic team. of Owings Mills, a sophomore majoring in biological systems engineering in the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech will spend their spring 2013 semester traveling across Europe as part of the university's Presidential Global Scholars program.

She will be stationed in Riva San Vitale, Switzerland and travel to locations across Europe as well as a trip to Ghana.
