Wednesday

Evening Story Time: 6:45 p.m. All Ages. End your day in a special way. This story time, open to all ages, introduces stories through books, songs, and activities. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Year-Round Family Story Time: 10 a.m. All Ages. An open invitation. This weekly story time, open to all ages, introduces stories through books, songs, and activities. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Thursday

American Girls: McKenna: 6:45 p.m. Ages 7-10. oin us for stories and more. Bring your dolls or dress up. Refreshments will be served. Registration for this program begins 10/4/2012.

Read and Play: 10:30 a.m. Ages Birth-24 Months. A story time featuring lap games, tickles, bounces, and rhymes followed by a playgroup for meeting and mingling. With an accompanying adult caregiver.

Three Cheers for Pooh: 1 p.m. All Ages. Celebrate Winnie the Pooh and his friends with a special story time. Hear stories, make a Pooh puppet, and learn that the best part of honey is eating it. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Refreshments will be served.

Civil War Trivia, Legends, and Ghost Stories: 1:30 p.m. Ages 12-Adults. Join author Ed Okonowicz as he explores fascinating facts and legends about the War Between the States. He'll share details on Lincoln's assassination, oldest surviving veterans, the Confederate White House, and Libby Prison using old photographs to illustrate the often surprising stories. Books will be available for purchase and signing. A Celebrating America program.

Monday

Drop-In Computer Basics: 2 p.m. Adults. Are you technology challenged about basic computer skills? Stop by any Monday from 2-3 pm for a little help with such things as e-mail, searching the Internet, e-readers, or applying for jobs online.

North Carroll Book Discussion Group: 6:30 p.m. Adults. Join us for a fun and enlightening discussion of this month's book, "The Cellist of Sarajevo" by Steven Galloway.

North Carroll Writers' Group: 6:30 p.m. Adults. Interested in writing? Want to meet others who are too? Come to the bi-monthly meetings where we share our work in a non-judgmental atmosphere.

Tuesday

Move and Learn: 10 a.m. Ages 2-6. A theme-based story time featuring an age-appropriate story, songs, and learning activities, with a concentration on creative movement. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
