Carroll County Senators David Brinkley and Joseph Getty were selected recently to lead the Republican caucus in the Maryland Senate during the 2014 legislative session.
Brinkley, R-District 4, was elected as the Republican minority leader. Brinkley previously served that role in 2007-2008 legislative calender.
Getty, R-District 5, was elected as the minority whip, replacing Sen. Edward R. Reilly. It is the first time he was chosen as the Republican minority whip.
