Jennifer Marie Bassler, daughter of Robert and Carol Bassler, of New Windsor, and Erik Michael Lowery, son of Michael and Kathryn Lowery, of Delmar, N.Y., were married at the University of Maryland Memorial Chapel in College Park, on May 5, 2012.

The Rev. Darrell Layman and the Rev. Anne Durboraw performed the ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

Maid of honor was Erin Hiner, of Denver, Colo. Men of honor were R. Christopher Bassler and John Bassler, both of New Windsor, brothers of the bride. Bridesmaids were Andrea Keefer Peeks, of Richmond, Va., Michelle Escobedo, of Hoboken, N.J., Rebecca Sinel and Mai Luong, both of Baltimore, and Rohini Kosoglu, of Washington, D.C.

Best man was Kurt Lowery, of Boston, Mass., brother of the groom. Groomsmen were James Morrill, of Albany, N.Y., Brian Wasserstein and Andrew Neviackas, both of Boston, Jeffrey Sundram, of New York, N.Y., and Richard Rossi, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Ushers were Justin Franklin, of Westminster, cousin of the bride; Jason Fudin and Zachary Gray, both of Washington, D.C., and Ryan Hogan, of Yonkers, N.Y.

The reception was held at Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center at the University of Maryland.

The newlyweds are residing in Orlando.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Francis Scott Key High School; a 2006 graduate of University of Maryland, College Park; a 2009 graduate of George Washington University in Washington, D.C.; and is pursuing further education at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Fla.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Bethlehem Central high School in Delmar; a 2006 graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park; and graduated in 2009 from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He is employed by IMG College at the University of Central Florida.
