William Thomas Russ, 88, of Westminster, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at home.
He was the son of the late William Otto Russ and the late Evelyn King Russ. He was the husband of Doris Marie O'Connor Russ.
He was a supervisor for B&O Railroad. His interests included jazz and photography, and he liked to travel and read financial reports.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children and spouses Thomas Steven and Denise D. Russ, of New Windsor, Charlotte Ann and Robert Thomas Bowen, of Mount Airy, David Michael and Bobbi Jo Russ, of Westminster; a brother, Stephen Russ, of Gettysburg, Pa.; grandchildren Thomas Jeffrey and Michele Bowen, of Mount Airy, Sherri Lynn and James Greer, of Smithsburg, Christy Lynn Russ and Michael Patrick Russ, both of Frederick, Andrew Michael and Sarah Russ, of Westminster, and James William and Liz Russ, of Taneytown; and great-grandchildren Taylor, Ashley and Emily Bowen, Cameron Greer, Abigail, Olivia and Aubrey Russ.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield.
Catholic prayers will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville.
