RACE: 30-lap All Stars Circuit of Champions 410 Super Sprint Feature

WINNER: Danny Dietrich, Gettysburg, Pa.

CARROLL FINISHER: 8th Steve Owings, Westminster

RACE NOTES: Danny Dietrich had a perfect night at Lincoln, setting fast time, winning the dash and claiming his third win in four years. Dietrich started on the pole alongside of Lance Dewease and led every lap. Dewease ran second every lap except laps 11-13, when he gave way to Brian Montieth. Dewease assumed second for the restart and ran there the rest of the way, holding off Tim Shaffer, Jac Haudenschild, and Jim Siegel. Siegel moved into the top five when All-Star point's leader Dale Blaney dropped to the infield on lap 15. Dietrich had more than a two-second lead when the mid-race caution flag came out, a 3-second lead by lap 19, and final margin of victory was 2.84 seconds over Dewease. Shaffer finished third, Jac Haudenschild fourth and Siegel completed the top five. Dietrich won $5,000y.

RACE: 25-lap Fallen Heroes Championship for 410 Super Sprint make-up Feature

WINNER: Mike Erdley, Herdon, Pa.

RACE NOTES: Mike Erdley won the make-up Fallen Heroes Championship 410 sprint feature worth $5,000 after the race restarted on lap 10, picking up where it was rained out May 24. He was passed early by Rick Lafferty only to reclaim the spot with a crossover lane change in the fourth corner as the pair raced back to the stripe. Erdley began opening up a comfortable advantage in the race as eyes turned to Lucas Wolfe. Wolfe took second from Lafferty with seven laps to go and ran down Erdley's lead by the final lap to raise the fans that could find a seat onto their feet. Wolfe raced just off Erdley's rear bumper down the backstretch on the final lap before putting on a swoop deep in the third corner that netted him the lead. But as he had done after the restart with Lafferty, as Wolfe slid up the track and took the lead, Erdley hit the binders and turned the car off the cushion to drive underneath Wolfe as the pair headed for the checkers to reclaim control and win by a .24-second margin. Wolfe took second, Lafferty third, Blane Heimbach fourth and Dave Ely fifth.

RACE: Joe Whitcomb Memorial 30-lap Patriot Series 358-360 Sprint Feature

WINNER: T J Stutts, Liverpool, Pa.

RACE NOTES: Second-place starter Mark Smith grabbed the lead over polesitter Jason Shultz. Before the completion on lap one, sixth-place starter TJ Stutts raced into third spot. Stutts passed Shultz for second and set his sights on Smith. A two-car tangle in turn 3 regrouped the field for a lap five restart. Stutts drew even entering turn one but Smith maintained the lead with momentum around the top of the track. Smith led early over Stutts, fourth-place starter Cody Keller, 11th-place starter Pat Cannon, and Shultz. On the 14th lap, Smith drifted high in turn two and allowed Stutts to make a pass using the inside groove. A caution on lap 15 became a red flag for a fuel stop. During the second half of the race Stutts maintained a solid lead while Smith kept him in his sights. Brock Zearfoss entered the top five with nine laps to go. The final laps produced an exciting wheel-to-wheel duel between Stutts and Smith, swapping the lead several times through the turns. Stutts eventually settled into the lead and went on to post a mere 1.3 second margin of victory over Smith, Cannon finished third, Shultz fourth and Zearfoss fifth. It was Stutts' third win of the season and his third career win in the Whitcomb Memorial at the wheel of the Mountain View Travel/Shimock's Furniture No. 23. He picked up $2,571 in prize money in the 20th win of his career in 358-360 sprint car competition at the track.
