Wednesday
Story Pals - Clothes: 9:45 a.m. For ages 2-3. A theme-based story time featuring interactive and age-appropriate stories, songs, fingerplays, and activities. With an accompanying adult caregiver.

Homeschoolers' Class - Pirates: 2 p.m. For ages 7-10. Join the fun in these literature-based science, social studies, math, and language arts programs.
Crochet 911: 7 p.m. For ages 11-Adults. Join Caroline Brocato to learn how to crochet. If you know how to crochet, please join the group. Please bring a size J hook and light colored yarn to the class.
Happiness 101 Workshop Series-Positive and Negative Thinking: 7 p.m. For ages 15-Adults. Register for this event today. Positive psychology is the science of psychological well-being and happiness. Research shows that happier people are more productive and energetic, healthier, have closer relationships, earn more money, are more successful, and even live longer. This three part workshop series will share practical techniques to incorporate positive psychology into your life. Attend all three sessions or just attend what you can to learn tips and tools to be lastingly happier. The workshop will be taught by Rayna Schroeder, a Life and Leadership Coach, Trainer and Speaker who lives here in Eldersburg. Drop-In Computer Instruction: 11 a.m. For Adults. Do you need help with basic computer skills like e-mail, searching the Internet, word processing, or other types of computer skills? Drop in to our computer lab for some help.
Game On: 6 p.m. For ages 10-17. Break out the controllers and get your game on in our teen area with our new Xbox. See what's just come in, challenge a friend to a classic, or just crash the party for wi-fi with your own handheld system. Now featuring Minecraft and other app-based games.
Crafting with Old Books - Wreath: 6:30 p.m. For ages 12-Adults. Register for this event today. Honor old books by giving them new life. This fun craft program will demonstrate how to rescue and repurpose your old books and turn them into art objects or practical items for your home. All materials will be furnished for this free make it/take it program. All attendees need to register.

Discover Science - Do You Hear What I Hear?: 10 a.m. For ages 3-5. Register for this event today. This program is part of a nature and science series for preschoolers. We will read a story and learn about sound through hands-on activities. With an adult caregiver.

Motown Story Time: 9:45 a.m. For All Ages. Have you heard it through the grapevine? We ain't too proud to beg you to join us for a Motown story time. This story time features interactive and age-appropriate stories, songs, fingerplays, and activities. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Springfield Hospital and the Town of Sykesville: 1 p.m. For ages 10-Adults. Many people living in the Eldersburg/Sykesville area know of Springfield Hospital, but few know of the history of Springfield and its tie to Sykesville's development in the early 1800's. Join Michael Rudnick as he discusses the history of Springfield Hospital and Sykesville. Mr. Rudnick is a local historian and raconteur who has published numerous articles related to the history of Sykesville. A Celebrating America program.

Year-Round Family Story Time - Farm: 9:45 a.m. For All Ages. An open invitation. This weekly story time, open to all ages, introduces stories through books, songs, and activities. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Teen Movies at Your Library - Hunger Games: 6 p.m. For ages 13-Adults. Step into scenes from some of your favorite movies. We're watching movies the way they should be watched. We've got a big screen, snacks, and we've redecorated the room to look like it has been taken straight out of the film. Each evening will start with a time for you to hang out with friends and eat snacks before we show the film. All films are rated PG-13. Refreshments will be served.
