Westminster library branch

The Westminster branch of the Carroll County Public Library, 50 E. Main St., Westminster, will offer the following programs this week. Registration is required only where noted. For more information, call 410-386-4488.

Tuesday

Read and Play: 11 a.m. Ages birth-24 months. A story time featuring lap games, tickles, bounces, and rhymes followed by a playgroup for meeting and mingling. Siblings welcome. With an accompanying caregiver.

Story Pals: 10 a.m. Ages 2-3. A theme-based story time featuring interactive and age-appropriate stories, songs, finger plays and activities. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Evening Story Time: 7 p.m. All Ages. End your day in a special way. This story time, open to all ages, introduces stories through books, songs, and activities. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Rec on the Move: 7 p.m. All Ages. Find out how easy and fun it is to get up and be active. Move with the Westminster Recreation and Parks Department at the library and enjoy a healthy snack too. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Refreshments will be served.

Year-Round Family Story Time: 1 p.m. All ages. This weekly story time introduces stories through books, songs, and activities. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Songs at 6:30 Concert Series: 6:30 p.m. All Ages. Join us for this free evening concert series featuring local and regional musicians. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy some terrific music. Sponsored by The City of Westminster, Downtown Westminster Main Street Program, and Coffey Music. Rain location: lower level of Longwell Parking Garage. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Growing Up Wild: 10 a.m. Ages 3-7. Join us as we explore nature and science together. Help your child discover the wonders of the world around us. Children age 3 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Special Olympics Young Athletes Program: 9:30 a.m. All Ages. Carroll County will be starting the Special Olympics Young Athletes Program, which helps children ages 2-7 build and develop motor and foundational skills through a variety of play activities. The Young Athletes program is designed for children with intellectual, developmental, and closely related disabilities, but is open to family members and friends who are also under 8 years of age. Monday

Music and Movement Series: 11 a.m. Ages 3-6. Join us for a five part music and movement program. We will have different guest presenters and performers each week introducing us to musical concepts and dance. Come ready to sing, dance, and clap your hands. Children age 3 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
