Elizabeth H. Cook, 81, of Abbottstown, Pa.

Elizabeth Huber Cook, 81, of Abbottstown, Pa., died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at the Brethren Home in New Oxford, Pa.

Born June 19, 1931, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Augustine Joseph and Blanche Alverta Tucker Huber. She was the wife of Thomas Hilton Cook Jr., who died April 2, 2005.

She had worked for Mercantile Bank for many years. She enjoyed watching television, especially old western movies; shopping, and going out to dinner with her family.

Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Cynthia and Charles Balch, of Abbottstown, and Judith Amanda Danza-Thompson and Randall Thompson, of Hampstead; brothers Carroll Huber, of Mount Airy, Charles "Buz" Huber, of Taylorsville, and Walter Huber, of Kentucky; a sister, Marlene Doroff, of Arbutus; grandchildren John Thomas Danza, Casandra Elizabeth Rebert and Amanda Elizabeth Danza; and great-grandchildren Lilly Ann Margo Danza and Daisy Jolie Danza.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Waddell officiating. Entombment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville.
