Wednesday
Story Pals - Forest: 9:45 a.m. For ages 2-3. A theme-based story time featuring interactive and age-appropriate stories, songs, fingerplays, and activities. With an accompanying adult caregiver.

Homeschoolers' Class - Greek Mythology: 2 p.m. For ages 7-10. Join the fun in these literature-based science, social studies, math, and language arts programs.
Beginning Yoga Strength: 7 p.m. For ages 16-Adults. Register for this event today. Join Dianna Fornaro, a Yogafit instructor from Freedom Fitness, for classes designed for yoga novices who want to build strength and grace through gentle yoga stretches and strengthening exercises. An additional strength training component is incorporated to help build bone density and range of motion. Please bring your own mat and/or towel. All attendees need to register.
Crochet 911: 7 p.m. For ages 11-Adults. Join Caroline Brocato to learn how to crochet. If you know how to crochet, please join the group. Please bring a size J hook and light colored yarn to the class.

Drop-In Computer Instruction: 11 a.m. For Adults. Do you need help with basic computer skills like e-mail, searching the Internet, word processing, or other types of computer skills? Drop in to our computer lab for some help.
1960's Dance Party: 4 p.m. For ages 8-12. Register for this event today. Can you do the twist? How about the pony? Join us to learn these dance moves and more, plus create crafts and play games celebrating that groovy decade, the 1960's. Only kids need to register.
Game On: 6 p.m. For ages 10-17. Break out the controllers and get your game on in our teen area with our new Xbox. See what's just come in, challenge a friend to a classic, or just crash the party for wi-fi with your own handheld system. Now featuring Minecraft and other app-based games.
Crafting with Old Books - Pumpkin: 6:30 p.m. For ages 12-Adults. Register for this event today. Honor old books by giving them new life. This fun craft program will demonstrate how to rescue and repurpose your old books and turn them into art objects or practical items for your home. All materials will be furnished for this free make it/take it program. All attendees need to register.

Friday
Discover Math - Veggie Math: 10 a.m. For ages 3-5. Register for this event today. This program is part of a math series for preschoolers. We will read a story and learn about math through hands-on activities. With an adult caregiver.
Sykesville Tae Kwon Do Academy's Mommy and Me: 11 a.m. For ages 24 Months-3. Register for this event today. Mommy and child can enjoy a fun-filled activity and, at the same time, develop movement awareness, motor skills, balance, coordination, flexibility, and agility. Please wear loose fitting pants or shorts. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Unleash Your Creativity - A Poetry Boot Camp: 2 p.m. For ages 11-Adults. Let Baltimore poet Shirley J. Brewer, author of A Little Breast Music and After Words, inspire you with this presentation on poetry elements and craft, her own poetic journey, and suggestions about how to get your work published. The hour will include two short writing prompts to help you unleash your creativity. Time for questions and answers. And Shirley never leaves home without a door prize or two.

Preschool Vision Screening: 9:30 a.m. For ages 2-5. Drop by the Eldersburg Branch Library between 9:30 am and 12 pm for free vision screening, offered in partnership with the Freedom District Lions Club. The screening for preschool aged children will test for lazy eye, nearsightedness, farsightedness, and depth perception. Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
