Bobby Lee Thompson, 76, formerly of Westminster, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at his home in St. Petersburg, Fla., after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born on Oct. 2, 1936, in Konerock, Va. He was the husband of Francene Thompson.
He worked for United Auto Workers for 48 years before retiring to St. Petersburg. He was a leader with the Masonic Lodge Temple. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, boating and spending time with his family.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons Robert L. Thompson and Roger L. Thompson, both of Hanover, Pa.; a daughter, Jeanne L. Thompson, of Manassas, Va.; a stepdaughter, Sherri Dunn, of Canton, Ohio; and grandchildren Rachael L. Thompson, Whitney L. Thompson, Liam D. Thompson, Kate Dunn, Grace Dunn and Emma Dunn.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.
Visitation will also be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service, 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Rev. Robert Vannoy officiating. Interment will follow at Kriders Church Cemetery.
