Rock of Ages

Remember all those great 1980s rock hits from bands such as Journey, Def Leppard, Twisted Sister...etc?

Well all these bands' songs plus many more are finely crafted into this very entertaining movie.

The script and the acting is fabulous as so much is happening in this 2-hour movie.

Los Angeles bar owner Dennis Dupree, played by Alec Baldwin and Dennis's very funny sidekick, Lonny (Russell Brand) are going to soon lose their bar to the city of Los Angeles if they can't pay the taxes.

For Dennis and Lonny, one and only one thing will pack the bar to raise cash.

They will have mega superstar, Stacee Jaxx (Tom Cruise) to perform there.

Dennis and Lonny also face the prospect of the bar shutting down to the Los Angeles mayor's wife, Patricia Whitmore (Catherine Zeta-Jones).

Meanwhile, fresh faced Oklahoma native, Sherrie (Julianne Hough) is now in Los Angeles to pursue her dream of being an entertainer.

Sherrie will meet a very kind barkeep named Drew (Diego Boneta) and Sherrie and Drew will fall in and out of love with each other.

"Rock of Ages" is rated PG-13 for some sexuality and coarse language.
