Krebs awards in-state scholarships

Del. Susan Krebs awarded in-state scholarships to 25 students in her legislative district.
The awards ranged from $1,000 to $3,000.
Money for the scholarships comes from the Delegate Scholarship Program, created by the General Assembly in 1957 for students who plan to attend colleges, universities or career schools in Maryland.
A committee of Carroll County educators evaluated the students based upon leadership, community service, extracurricular activities, academic achievement and work ethic.
Krebs awarded scholarships to these graduating seniors from Century High School: Troy Asbacher, Kristin Cady, Chad Henson, Nicolas Holocker, Angelina Kaliszak, Maya Koepke, Andrew Murosko, Kelsey Murrill, Rachael Reiter and Elizabeth Rychwalski.
Krebs awarded scholarships to these graduating seniors from Liberty High School: Teresa Dozier, Travis Heffler, Kelsey Hof, Katie Klos, Sam Lipsky, Maxwell Milewski, Kristin Miller, Crystal Mountain, Grant Orndorff, Maura Souders, Paige Sudol and Megan Turlik.
Krebs also awarded scholarships to Megan Arnold, of Mount de Sales Academy; Zachary Collette, of South Carroll High School; and Jordan Dovel of Mount St. Joseph High School.
Krebs' District 9B scholarship applications for the 2014-2015 school year will be available in January.
