Co. Exec. launches recycling effort
Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz announced a new residential recycling campaign designed to encourage residents to recycle more and to provide information about how much each area of the county is setting out for collection. The public outreach campaign invites people to visit the county's bcrecycles.com web page, where recycling rate information is available broken down by geographic areas within the county.
The Bureau of Solid Waste Management has divided Baltimore County into 44 areas. For the first time recycling rate information for 2011 and each of the first four months of 2012 is available for each area, which enables residents to see for themselves how they and their neighbors around the county are doing in terms of recycling.
In addition to viewing their area's recycling rate information at bcrecycles.com, residents can also find collection schedules, program guides, and other information. For more information, call 410-887-2000.
