Carolyn D. Miller, 70, of Taneytown

Carolyn Darlene Miller, 70, of Taneytown, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.

Born Nov. 14, 1943, in Frederick County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy Devilbiss Garber.

She was an employee of Random House Publishing in Westminster until her retirement in 2007.

She enjoyed cooking, traveling and Native American art. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her cat, Callie.

Surviving are a daughter, Penny Bouis, of Taneytown; son Timothy Miller and wife Lucero, of Mesa, Arizona; siblings Ralph Garber and wife Ann Marie, of Littlestown, Pennsylvania, William Garber and wife Caroline, of New Windsor, Richard Garber and wife Mary, of Union Bridge, E. Elizabeth Dell, of Finksburg, Dolores Frounfelter and husband Charles "Reds," of McKinstry Mill, and Gary Garber and wife Peggy, of New Windsor; grandchildren Cassidey, Zachary and Ethan Bouis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sisters Joan Garber and Fay Minnick; and a brother, Maurice Ellis Garber.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service, noon Saturday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St, Taneytown, with Dale H. Miller as celebrant. Interment will follow at Pipe Creek Cemetery.
