Ravens: Pro Bowl FB Leach's role 'week to week'

OWINGS MILLS - With Baltimore becoming more of an up-tempo, pass heavy offense, Pro Bowl fullback Vonta Leach has seen a very limited role through the Ravens' first two games.

He has been on the field for just 38 of Baltimore's 132 offensive snaps this season, including only 16 of the Ravens' 70 offensive plays against the Eagles this past Sunday.

Running back Ray Rice had just 16 carries against Philadelphia after receiving only 10 in Baltimore's season-opening win against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Leach was in the game for only eight of Rice's 16 carries versus the Eagles.

"It's week to week," Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron said of Leach's role. "Our game plan will always vary. ... I think in any given situation, you can look at it one way or the other. But I think when you look at the big picture, we have a great fullback, we have great running backs, we have tight ends that we really feel good about.

"It's going to be spread across the board," Cameron added. "That's going to be the key for us to get where we want to go is making sure we are keeping everyone involved to some degree. Some weeks it's more than others."
