Karen Ann Wassel, 54, of Sykesville, died Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.
Born March 11, 1960, in Red Bank, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Joseph Yatsko, of Belford, New Jersey, and the late Martha Marczyk Yatsko. She was the wife of Ronald Thomas Wassel.
She had been a pharmacist with Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital in Baltimore. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and her pets, Casey and Chloe.
Surviving, in addition to her father and husband, are a daughter, Rebecca Leigh Wassel, of Sykesville; and a brother, Joseph Yatsko Jr., of Belford.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg.
